Registering as a Patient with Nightingale Surgery

registrationYou can register with us by visiting our surgery in Great Well Drive off Cupernham Lane, which is located on the Winchester Road at the bottom of the hill from Romsey Hospital. Our receptionists will only be too pleased to help you in all aspects of your registration.

Since the 1st April 2004 you will be registered with Nightingale Surgery, you will be asked if you have a particular preference for a certain GP and depending on availability and appropriateness  we will try to meet you needs.

Prior to registration you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire. Once we have received you questionnaire the receptionist will be able to complete the registration forms.

After your registration forms are complete you will be asked to arrange a date for your new patient medical. This is when you will meet either the surgery nurses or your new Doctor. This will give you the opportunity of discussing any medical issues you may have.

If you have any queries regarding our catchment area, temporary resident applications or any other aspect of your registration then please either come and see us, telephone or e-mail us at Nightingale Surgery.

Things to bring with you :

  • NHS Medical Card (if you have one - don't worry if you can't find it)
  • Your diary for booking in your new patient medical
  • Proof of identity if you are new to the area or a recent utility bill confirming your address

We accept full registrations from Romsey, North Baddesley, Wellow and the surrounding villages and countryside, generally within 10 miles of Romsey. Patients who live on the outskirts of Southampton should register with a Southampton based practice.
